The street transformed into a dynamic stage, an interactive realm where the codes of urban life converged with artistic expression. Through textile banners, flags, and capes, the narrative embarked on a visual journey that began on Klarastrasse and culminated in the vibrant Marienstrasse, resonating with the Biennale für Freiburg 2 and Kunstverein Freiburg street festival. Rooted in historical exploration, the project sought to illuminate the presence of FLINTA individuals in the public sphere, particularly within Stühlinger, Freiburg, transforming streets into spaces for reimagining stories. The textile banners adorned with quotes from forgotten women of the past unfurled their voices, redefining the street as an arena for the (re)shaping of historical discourse.
Concept and performer: Anna Byskov and Hannah Kindler
Textile flags and capes: Hannah Kindler
Pedestals: Anna Byskov
A project for Biennale für Freiburg 2, with the somebody*ies collective
